Functional Principle:

The system collects real-time parking information for each parking space through each parking space detector. When a vehicle is parked in a space, the indicator light changes from green to red. The node controller connected to the detectors collects information from each detector in a polling manner, compresses and encodes the data according to certain rules, and then sends it back to the central controller. The central controller processes the data and sends the processed parking space data to the parking guidance screen to display available parking space information, thereby guiding vehicles to available parking spaces. The system also transmits data to a computer, which stores the data in a database server. Users can query real-time parking space information and annual, monthly, and daily statistics of the parking lot through a computer terminal.

The application of parking guidance system can solve following problems:

 

  • After entering the parking lot, drivers often don't know where the available parking spaces are, wasting a lot of time blindly and disorganizedly moving around in search of a spot. This not only causes congestion in the parking lot's passageways but also increases fuel consumption and pollutes the air.

 

  • During peak hours, managers need to deploy a large number of personnel for manual traffic control, which is inefficient and costly.

  • Managers cannot obtain real-time parking space occupancy information and must constantly dispatch personnel for manual surveys, wasting manpower and resources and failing to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of parking information, resulting in low parking lot utilization.

 

  • Managers cannot collect real-time parking space usage data and cannot make timely operational adjustments to optimize parking space allocation based on actual conditions.
