A vertical rotary parking system is a "Ferris wheel"-style mechanical parking device:
1. Structural Principle
The entire parking system consists of a steel frame, a circular chain, a geared motor, and several cars (parking racks). All cars are fixed to the chain and move in a unidirectional circular motion in the vertical plane.
The motor drives the chain through sprockets. A pair of driving/driven pulleys are located at the top and bottom of the chain to ensure synchronous operation; the cars remain level at all times to prevent vehicles from tilting.

2. Parking and Retrieval Process
After the driver drives the vehicle into an empty car located on the ground at the entrance, they can leave. The system automatically selects the shortest rotation direction based on the parking space number, lowering the target car to the ground.
When retrieving the car, the driver enters the parking space number, and the system rotates the corresponding car to the exit level, allowing the vehicle to drive away directly. The entire process takes an average of 60–90 seconds.
