According to the Vietnamese government's plan, the country is gradually moving towards electrification and plans to stop producing, assembling and importing fuel vehicles, motorcycles and mopeds for the domestic market in 2040, and to achieve the use of electric and green energy for all motor vehicles by 2050.

The Republic of Rwanda (Rwanda), referred to as Rwanda, is a sovereign state in central and eastern Africa. In the capital Kigali, the main means of transportation for people is motorcycles, and "motorcycle taxis" are one of the most important means of public transportation.

The Rwandan government will stop registering gasoline motorcycles for public transport in Kigali from January 2025, and will only allow electric motorcycles to be registered at that time. This move is part of the Rwandan government's promotion of sustainable transportation.

Under the new policy, existing gasoline motorcycles will continue to operate until they are phased out due to wear and tear, but they will need to meet emission standards.

In June 2021, Rwanda, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), began to phase out gasoline motorcycles and encourage their conversion to electric motorcycles, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.
