Choosing A Smart Parking Lot Vehicle Detector

Aug 13, 2025 Leave a message

Currently, there are a wide variety of vehicle detectors available on the market, including geomagnetic vehicle detectors and ground coil vehicle detectors.

Ground coil vehicle detectors are currently the most widely used type of vehicle inspection equipment. Their main principle is that a ring-shaped coil buried under the road surface induces changes in the coil's magnetic field. The detection equipment then calculates data such as vehicle flow, speed, and time occupancy, and uploads it to a central control system.

Ground coil vehicle detectors are mature technology with low cost, making them the preferred vehicle inspection method for most parking lots. COMA ground coil vehicle detectors feature the following:

1. Utilizes a 32-bit high-speed processor for fast response.

2. Four adjustable modes: Snapshot mode offers fast response and is less prone to tailgating, while truck mode has a built-in delay to reduce vehicle damage.

3. Four adjustable frequencies prevent interference between coils.

4. Two isolating switch outputs fully meet various triggering needs, such as snapshots.

5. A built-in data interface supports coil fault diagnosis via a mobile app, greatly improving on-site maintenance efficiency.

6. Universal interfaces and self-locking installation ensure no loosening.

Ground-sensing coil vehicle detectors are the preferred choice for smart parking lots in terms of detection accuracy, ease of installation, and maintenance costs.
