Technical Architecture and Composition

 

System Architecture

 

This solution adopts a three-layer architecture design:

 

Data Acquisition Layer: Geomagnetic Sensor + Smart Parking Meter. The geomagnetic sensor is responsible for detecting parking space status, and the parking meter is responsible for timekeeping, billing, and payment interaction.

 

Information Transmission Layer: Geomagnetic Manager/NB-IoT Base Station. Real-time data upload is achieved through 4G/5G/NB-IoT networks.

 

Management Application Layer: Smart Parking Cloud Platform + Mobile APP. Data analysis, fee settlement, parking space guidance, and operation monitoring.

 

1. Geomagnetic Sensor (Geomagnetic Detector)

 

Working Principle: Utilizing the principle of the uniformity of the Earth's magnetic field, when a ferrous vehicle enters/leaves, the magnetic field is disturbed. The sensor determines the parking space occupancy status by detecting the change in the magnetic field.

2. Smart Parking Meter

  • Multimodal Smart Terminal: Supports cash, bank card, and QR code payment (optional)
  • Scenario: Self-service payment mode (geomagnetic sensor + fixed parking meter)
  • Applicable to: Urban areas with mature parking habits and low rates of parking evasion

 

Process:

 

1. Entering a parking space: The geomagnetic sensor detects the vehicle entering, and the system displays the parking space status as occupied.

2. Parking: The driver purchases parking time.

3. Leaving a parking space: The geomagnetic sensor detects the vehicle leaving, and the system displays the parking space status as vacant.

 

If parking time exceeds the limit, the system triggers an alert so that staff can handle the situation.

 

This parking meter system significantly reduces human error and costs while improving data accuracy and reliability.
